I work from my home office in Lac Le Jeune, British Columbia where I am involved in all sorts of interesting projects related to facilitation, online communities, and teaching and learning online. I have been involved in online education since 1995 in many different roles: student, researcher, instructor, software designer, mentor, community steward, facilitator, website administrator, instructional designer, curriculum developer, project manager... Prior to that I worked in post-secondary administration and student success.
I'm part of the Professional Learning team at BCcampus where I work with educational practitioners across British Columbia's public post-secondary system to develop and support learning networks, communities of practice, and professional development activities and events.
This is where I blog about my work related to teaching and learning in higher education. I blog about my experiences and learning path as a dog training professional at sylviacurrie.ca. I use a wiki to keep track of presentations, publications, education, and work experience, but it's quite messy! Learning is like that!
